How We Support Healthcare In Richmond

To date, the Auxiliary has donated almost $8 million to enhance healthcare in Richmond through the operation of its Thrift Shop, Gift Shop, Tuck Shop and Lottery Booth.

This past year the Richmond Hospital/Healthcare Auxiliary donated:

$111,000.  to Richmond Hospital for Cancer Care, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Patient Music Therapy, Minoru Residence and Lions Manor Bridgeport.

$37,000. to the Recreation Dept. in Minoru and Lions Manor

$134,813. To purchase a Cellavision (to assist detecting Cancer Blood Cells)

$109,736  for the newly opened Dental Clinic at Minoru Residence.

$3,000. for Alzheimer’s training tools at Lions Manor

$22,053. for a Vein Viewer for the Richmond Hospital

$200,000. annually to Richmond Hospital ($30,000 used on 3 North Sub-acute Unit to teach patients how to care for themselves when they leave hospital) and ($30,000. to help fund the new Short Stay Pediatric Unit).

$2,000 as an annual donation to the Perinatal Dept. to assist with Memorial Boxes for deceased newborns

+ Water for the Cancer Care Unit.

In the past, the Auxiliary purchased 2 buses for residents at Minoru Residence and Lions Manor Bridgeport and continue to cover the maintenance of these buses.

THIS YEAR, THE RICHMOND HOSPITAL HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY WILL BE GIVING OVER $600,000 TO RICHMOND HOSPITAL.
